| SPRING 2008 NEWSLETTER Spring has finally found it’s way to Pakwash Lake Camp! It was a long time coming but finally the weather has warmed up and the ice is melting, the rivers have opened up and Mother Nature has brought us spring. We had 8 Bald Eagles and 2 Golden Eagles at the scrap pile on the Lake in front of the house yesterday. The birds make sure we are awake at day break. We've had a lot of animals around this winter and now the fishing season gets underway. Oh, we do love living in the Northern Canada! We are ready for 2008 fishing and hunting. Not too many big upgrades planned for camp this year. We plan to get a couple of roofs redone, and painting inside and out. The road construction from Ear Falls is done and we hope to work on the camp road this spring too. Our house is in need of some major attention so we plan to build a large storage/garage and fix the outside shell & drainage of the house. We were hoping to get the web page redone but after going to a web design seminar I realized, I need to take many nice pictures and do a lot more homework to have a great site. 2008 is looking good, a few new guests and we are looking forward to seeing everyone for another excellent fishing season. A note to our guests: The GST rebate is now only reserved for guests at fly-in camps with fishing guides. The Passport link is found at www.infonorth.net if you need any information on border crossing or passport updates. We wanted to share some history pictures with everyone. Thanks to Larry Perkins and family for sharing their oldies with us. They are great! Let’s go fishing! See everyone Soon!!! - Denis & Kim |
